If it really starts tommorow then they should have the official page up today. I just like thousands of others keep F5'ing gw.com... so if they want to save some bandwidth they shoud post it quick

Why dont they post this stuff in GW guru? Are they going to post GW2 info on the GW3 website?

Yeah it's been annoying me lately how often I'm being referred to gw2guru for stuff happening in GW right now. I'm not interested in following any gw2 stuff at all until there's actual concrete GW2 stuff happening, like a beta.

I think the CM team just doesn't like getting bitched at whenever they poke their heads into GW1Guru :P. So many whiners out there.

2nded....THIS is the site for gw1 stuff...not gw2 guru. I see that regina, martin et al post more over there than here now....makes you kind of wonder if they have abandoned guildwars as well........

Well... Guild Wars Guru did not pick up anything about the War in Kryta viral campaign until it had progressed for quite some time. It was on Guild Wars Guru that the very first post about the viral campaign happened--in the off topic forum. No one took the clue here. No one took the bait and wondered whether it meant anything for the game. Not on Guild Wars Guru, at least. The those threads about the viral campaign on Guild Wars Guru were very scarcely posted in, and no one here followed the near-daily updates and clues. The Guild Wars Guru community simply didn't get into it as much as Guild Wars 2 Guru, nor did the folks here appear to have as much fun with the viral campaign as the folks at Guild Wars 2 Guru seemed to. I'm sorry that this forum didn't catch onto the viral campaign as much as Guild Wars 2 Guru. Viral campaigns start with small clues from the company, but it's driven by the players. We went where the active discussion was happening to provide encouragement. If the discussion wasn't happening here, we went where it was happening. It all started here, but Guild Wars 2 Guru took the ball and ran with it.

guildwars is still up and running, guildwars 2 is still in development, we hope.....
many of the posters on gw2 guru also post here, however, since there is not much new news about gw2 many of those posters stay here ...on the forum for the game that is still currently being played/available.
why the war in kryta was on gw2---hm, not much else to talk about I suppose. However, that does NOT change the fact that what I mentioned about people posting more on one site than the other----is still true.

I still hope to see more involvement of the areanet staff on this site as this game is here NOW, gw2....we still have no date. Its nice to support both, however; I think that more support for what is currently up and running would be better than something that is supposed to happen sometime in the future.

If the staff in question posts MORE on a site for a future game than a current game that leaves some players of the current game wondering about its future.

You're wondering about the future of GW(1)? I don't think there's too much of a question really. If people are expecting a regular update schedule and periodic content additions after GW2 is live then they haven't been paying attention. GW will be playable but it isn't going to be handled in nearly the same fashion.

To also still make any hints towards doubt that GW2 is in development is pretty rediculous as well. (Per this weeks interview the info on the game is going to really start streaming here very shortly - quite possibly during and after this anniversary.) In fact, this whole War in Kryta and Guild Wars Beyond content is FOR GW2. All the additions and content they'll be inserting in GW in the coming months is to provide historical information and a link to events of GW2. It's not coming just for more stuff to do in GW.

I think it's natural for ANet to pay more attention to conversations regarding what they're working on most. I would only assume and expect that balance to increasingly lean toward GW2 in the coming months. It's not 'that far' out anymore - and I think we'll find out just how 'far' pretty soon.

I'm going to have to disagree and call it unprofessional. Someone who represents a company should be much more neutral, as in one forum having more interest doesn't mean the other doesn't have any. Someone shouldn't have to link to a different forum and community for a different game to get answers.

I actually agree with Cuilan. Since this is the game played in the here and now copy and paste is always great. especially if you want the current players interested. Also since there aren't (or seems anyways) a whole lot of the guildwars players that come to the forums (seems to be the same people all the time) those of us that do both could tell our guild members and friends to come to the forums and read up on the new stuff happening and that would perhaps generate more excitement and discussion. But when you take it to a forum that I for one am not interested in right now because the game has no release date, no real info about it why should I be forced to go to those forums?

okay, supposedly cupcakes start dropping in 30 minutes. No update anywhere to be found, login screen, guild wars and wiki. nothing at all. Very poorly done for an anniversary event if you ask me.
